Hermia 15 in Hervanta will be completed in September 2009. The latest lease agreement signed with EpiCrystals Ltd brings the occupancy ratio at a full 100 %. Sasken Finland Ltd and TAC Finland Ltd will be situated in the property along with EpiCrystals Ltd. The Tampere based laser technology company EpiCrystals Ltd will take 375 square meters of modern office space. According to EpiCrystal Ltd's CEO Tomi Jouhti the decision was influenced by the versatile service palette Technopolis offers, including business and development services supporting the business on top of the modern office space. One key element in the deal was EpiCrystals Ltd's recent successful risk financing round, which will enable the company to expand. Technopolis assisted EpiCrystals Ltd in the fundraising process. The premises of the Hermia 15 property are extremely felxible and special attention has been paid to creating an environmentally sustainable and energy effective operational environment. The property is a pilot project for TAC Finland Ltd and Technopolis Plc, where consumption is measured and followed in detail. Technopolis has over 100 client companies in Hermia. Along with the first phase of the Hermia 15 property, the Hermia technology center in Tampere will grow to over 27 000 square meters. The cost calculation for Hermia 15A including the parking hall is approximately EUR 14,5 million. The space is approximately 11 800 gross square meters of which the office space is approximately 5 500 gross square meters.
