Benchmark issue of EUR 750 million from Pohjola                                 

On 25 February 2010, Pohjola Bank plc will issue a EUR 750-million floating rate
bond under its EMTN programme in international capital markets, with a maturity 
of three years.                                                                 

Barclays Bank PLC; Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch; DZ BANK AG, Deutsche        
Zentral-Genossenschaftsbank, Frankfurt am Main; and Pohjola Bank plc will act as
joint lead managers. The issue will be listed on the London Stock Exchange.
