OKMETIC TRANSFERS 9,432 OWN SHARES HELD BY THE COMPANY AS A PART OF THE
COMPANY'S SHARE-BASED INCENTIVE SCHEME

Okmetic Oyj's board of directors has decided to transfer 9,432 own shares held
by the company, for free, to a member of the management group belonging to
Okmetic's share-based incentive scheme 2010-2011, as a proportion of reward to
be paid as shares on the basis of earning period 2010.

The rewards of the share-based incentive scheme will be paid on the one hand in
Okmetic shares and on the other hand in a monetary amount covering taxes. The
directed share issue without payment will be executed in full and there is no
consideration related to the issue. The share issue does not affect the share
capital of the company. After the share issue, the company will hold 61,961 own
shares.

Transfer of own shares through a directed share issue without payment is based
on the authorisation that the extraordinary general meeting has given to the
board of directors on 6 November 2008.
