TIIMARI GROUP'S SALES MARCH 2009 ( preliminary)

TIIMARI GROUP'S NET SALES IN MARCH 2009 (preliminary)                           

Tiimari Group's preliminary net sales in March 2009 was MEUR 5.9, 11% less than 
during the comparison period. Easter is the next important sales season for     
Tiimari after Christmas and it was three weeks later in 2009 compared to 2008.  
The sales season during Easter lasts for five weeks and the additional sales    
during that time has traditionally been about MEUR 1.5. Only three weeks of this
years Easter season was during the first quarter. According to preliminary      
estimates the whole Easter sales during this year was about 6% below the        
respective sales for last year. The total sales for the first quarter was 12%   
below last years sales figures.                                                 

Tiimari Group's first quarter sales was MEUR 15.7, MEUR 2.1 or 12% below last   
years respective sales figures. In addition to the later timing of the Easter   
sales season the first quarter sales were reduced by the currency exchange rate 
development for the Swedish, Polish and Latvian currencies and the general      
deterioration of market demand for consumables in Finland. Tiimari shops in     
Russia were closed in the beginning of March.                                   

Tiimari Plc will publish its 2009 first quarter report May 12. 2009 as announced
previously.
