RESULTS OF RUUKKI GROUP PLC'S EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING                     

Ruukki Group Plc (“Ruukki” or the “Company”) (LSE: RKKI, OMX: RUG1V) is pleased 
to announce all the resolutions proposed at today's Extraordinary General       
Meeting were passed.                                                            

There will be nine members on the Company's Board.                              

Mr Alwyn Smit has been appointed as an executive director of the Company and    
joins the Board, effective today. He will continue in his role as Chief         
Executive Officer of the Company. Mr Smit was appointed as Ruukki's Chief       
Executive Officer on 12 September 2008, however for the period between the      
Annual General Meeting on 21 April 2010 and today's Extraordinary General       
Meeting, he has not been a member of the Board of Directors.                    

Dr Danko Koncar has been appointed as an executive director of the Company and  
joins the Board, effective today. Following this appointment, Dr Koncar will    
assume the role of "Director Responsible for New Business" and resigns as CEO of
Ruukki's Minerals Business today. His direct reports will now report to Mr Smit,
the Company's Chief Executive Officer.                         

Save as set out below there are no matters which require disclosure under UK    
Listing Rule 9.6.13.                                                            

Mr Alwyn Smit is a former director of Decillion Limited, an investment banking  
boutique, listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange from 1996 to 2006.
