ETTEPLAN OYJ, STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE, JUNE 22, 2016, AT 11.00 A.M.

ETTEPLAN STARTS TO PUBLISH KEY FIGURES OF ITS THIRD SERVICE AREA

Etteplan acquired Espotel and Soikea Solutions and expanded its business
operations in Embedded Systems and into Internet of Things (IoT) as of April 4,
2016. In addition to Engineering services and Technical Documentation services,
Embedded Systems and IoT represents Etteplan’s third service area. With these
three service areas, Etteplan has a unique service concept in the engineering
services industry covering intelligent devices, documentation and industrial
internet applications.

Embedded Systems and IoT services refer to all product creation and technology
solutions that enable digital connectivity of products and machinery, for
example consultation, research and development, test laboratory and production
test systems. Etteplan’s services cover also the development of business
systems, mobile applications and integrations for comprehensive IoT solutions.

Etteplan starts to publish key figures of its third service areas from
reporting of the second quarter of 2016 onwards. Key figures for all Etteplan’s
three service areas are: revenue, EBIT from business operations and MSI
(Managed Services Index) which represents the share of revenue accounted for by
high value-added services. EBIT from business operations reflects operational
performance: it does not include acquisition-related items, such as
amortization on PPA allocations and earn out revaluations. With the publication
of key figures Etteplan increases the transparency of the implementation of
Company’s business strategy and realization of targets.

The revenues of Espotel and Soikea Solutions totaled in 2015 at approximately
EUR 29 million. The combined revenue of the acquired companies and Etteplan’s
Embedded Systems and IoT business in 2015 was approximately EUR 40 million. The
revenue of Etteplan’s Embedded Systems and IoT business, approximately EUR 11
million, has been previously reported in the Engineering services revenue.

Company’s organization structure will continue to be a combination of matrix
and country-based organizations. Etteplan’s external reporting will continue to
follow this organization structure.
