Appointments in Pöyry's Group Executive Committee

PÖYRY PLC          Company Announcement, 1 February 2010 at 9.40 a.m.

Pöyry has today appointed two new members to its Group Executive Committee. Dr.
Norbert Gorny, 46, has been appointed Executive Vice President of Pöyry PLC and
President of the Management Consulting business group. Martin Bachmann, 42, has
been appointed Executive Vice President of Pöyry PLC and President of the Water& Environment business group. They both report to Heikki Malinen, President and
CEO of Pöyry PLC.

Dr. Norbert Gorny holds a PhD in Microbiology. He comes with an excellent mix of
industry background from Carl Zeiss Group and before that management consulting
experience from McKinsey."Most recently, Pöyry has launched a convincing vision to maximize customer
value and thereby to unlock the company's full economic potential. I am excited
to join this vital organization and to move the company forward together with my
colleagues", says Norbert Gorny.

Martin Bachmann holds a M.Sc. Civil Engineering. He is currently Business Area
President in the Urban and Mobility business group and has broad international
experience from almost 20 countries. He has also built an extensive global
network both within Pöyry and the industry. He joined Pöyry with the acquisition
of Electrowatt Engineering, where his career started in 1994."I am very excited to take up this new opportunity and look forward to
broadening my exposure into new business segments of Pöyry. I look forward to
working with the team in building the water and environment segment to an even
more critical area of the Pöyry portfolio", says Martin Bachmann.

Dr. Gorny brings to Pöyry's management consulting a broad experience base
through his successful career in management consulting with McKinsey and
extensive general management experience from a hightech business with Carl
Zeiss. During his career Norbert has focused on growing businesses in a
knowledge and research intensive environment and leading change in a diverse,
international setting.

During his long and successful career with Pöyry, Martin Bachmann has developed
businesses, managed teams and steered business units Europe, South America, Asia
and the United States. Martin's deep and comprehensive understanding of the
engineering sector and public clients allows for a smooth transition from
transportation into his new role."

Both positions have global responsibilities. Dr. Norbert Gorny will be based in
Germany and Martin Bachmann in Switzerland. They will both take over the duties
with immediate effect as of February 1, 2010.
