ALMA MEDIA’S MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS NIKLAS HERLIN HAS DECEASED

Alma Media’s Member of the Board, Niklas Herlin (53), has deceased unexpectedly.

Niklas Herlin served as Member of the Board of Directors of Alma Media since
2013. During 1987-1996 he was an Editor and News Editor at business daily
Kauppalehti. Herlin was also the Chairman of the Board and majority owner of
Uusi Suomi, a news and blog service specializing in social dialogue, during 2007
-2016.

”Niklas Herlin has had a significant role in the development of Finnish media
sector, he was a strong advocate of quality journalism and a brilliant
columnist. Our most sincere condolences to the family of Niklas Herlin and on
behalf of Alma Media we express our great gratitude for the significant work he
has done for the company, says Harri Suutari, Chairman of the Board of Directors
of Alma Media.

Niklas Herlin acted also as the Board of Directors of Mariatorp Oy since 2005.
Mariatorp's and Niklas Herlin's personal holding of Alma Media's shares is 19.4
percent.
