Vacon's Capital Markets Day on May 25, 2011


Vacon Plc, Stock Exchange Release, 25 May 2011 at 9 am

Vacon Plc is holding a Capital Markets Day for investors, analysts and media
representatives on 25 May 2011 starting at 9.00 am in Vantaa, Finland.

The presentations of the day will focus on energy savings that can be achieved
with AC drives, prospects for the AC drives market and the added value Vacon AC
drives bring to the customer.

The speakers will be Vesa Laisi (Vacon's CEO), Heikki Hiltunen, (Vacon Executive
Vice President, Products and Markets), Ms Eriikka Söderström (Vacon's CFO) and
Mr Sebastian Linko, Director, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations as
well as Marketing Directors of Vacon's main product sectors, Renewable Energy
and Motor Control, Mr Olli Tevä and Mr Simo Kekkonen.

At the end of the day, we will pay a visit to our customer's site and see Vacon
AC drives in action in various applications.

Vacon continues to follow its strategy of profitable growth. Vacon estimates
that its 2011 revenues will increase 10% - 20% and its operating profit
percentage is expected to rise from 2010. Earnings per share are expected to
improve significantly from 2010. Vacon's goal is to achieve revenues of EUR 500
million in 2014. Its long-term profitability target is an operating profit of
14% and a return on equity of more than 30%.
