a.m. EET

Katri Harra-Salonen, Finnair’s Chief Digital Officer (CDO) will leave the
company, and Tomi Pienimäki (Dr.Tech, MSc.Econ), 46, has been appointed as
Finnair Chief Digital Officer and a member of the Finnair Executive Board.

Katri Harra-Salonen will leave her position on September 30, 2019, and Tomi
Pienimäki will start in his new role on October 1, 2019. Pienimäki currently
serves as a member of the Board in Aallon Group. Previously, he has served as
the CEO of Vincit and Jolla, and as the Chief Information Officer of Itella and
Hackmann.

“With Katri Harra-Salonen at the helm, Finnair has made a great digital leap,
and is today among the most desired employers among technology professionals in
Finland,” says Topi Manner, Finnair’s CEO. “We have implemented the
transformative digital strategy that Finnair created some three years ago. We
have built a strong and competent team. We utilise AI and mobile services across
the organisation in a completely new way, and with Katri’s leadership we have
launched new innovative services for our customers. All of us at Finnair want to
warmly thank Katri for this, and we wish her the best of success also in the
future.”

“I also welcome Tomi Pienimäki to the Finnair team,” Manner continues. “Tomi’s
strong competencies in leading digital organisations and in developing new
businesses complement our team well, as we seek to further develop innovative
solutions for both improving the customer experience and to support the work of
our own personnel.”

“My Finnair years have been an amazing experience. It has been wonderful to
build new growth with technology together with all Finnair people. During these
years, technology has become a natural part of the Finnair strategy and of our
everyday work. We have achieved a lot and the whole team is to thank for that,”
says Katri Harra-Salonen. “However, now it’s time to pass the baton and I will
now concentrate on my Board duties, take it slow for a moment and then see which
challenge to take on next.”

”I am excited to get to work with the Finnair team on taking the iconic Finnair
brand forward with digitalisation. I also look forward to further building the
digital backbone that enables many key functions in the daily life of an
airline, and which enables us to further develop our digital customer service
offering”, says Tomi Pienimäki. “I am eager to start developing the technology
solutions of Finnair’ s next strategic phase together with the team.“
