Final outcome of Suomen Terveystalo Oyj's rights issue

Final outcome of Suomen Terveystalo Oyj's rights issue

Suomen Terveystalo Oyj's rights issue ended on October 8, 2008, in which a
total of 12,964,758 shares were subscribed. A total of 7,510,922 shares were
subscribed based on the primary subscription right and a total of 198,373
shares were subscribed based on the secondary subscription right. In addition,
according to the underwriting undertakings they had provided, Ilmarinen Mutual
Pension Insurance Company and Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company subscribed
for shares not subscribed for on the basis of the primary and secondary
subscription right. According to their underwriting undertakings, Ilmarinen
subscribed for 1,994,608 shares and Varma for 3,260,855 shares. 

The shares that were issued in the rights issue correspond to approximately 19
percent of the number of all shares of Suomen Terveystalo Oyj and the votes
carried by these shares before the rights issue and approximately 16 percent
after the rights issue. 

The gross proceeds Terveystalo raised through the rights issue were
approximately EUR 14.3 million. 

Suomen Terveystalo Oyj's Board of Directors has today approved all
subscriptions made in the rights issue between September 24, 2008 and October
8, 2008 based on the primary and secondary subscription right, and the
subscriptions based on the underwriting undertakings provided by Ilmarinen
Mutual Pension Insurance Company and Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company,
according to the rights´ issue terms and conditions. 

The shares subscribed on the basis of the primary subscription right have been
subject to public trading as interim shares ("Suomen Terveystalo uudet") on the
Nasdaq OMX Helsinki Stock Exchange as of October 9, 2008. 

All shares subscribed in the rights issue will be registered with the Trade
Register on or about October 15, 2008, after which the interim shares will be
combined with the Suomen Terveystalo's existing share class. 

The interim shares and the shares subscribed on the basis of the secondary
subscription right will be subject to public trading together with the
Terveystalo's existing shares on or about October 16, 2008. 

After the new shares have been entered in the Trade Registry, the total number
of the Company's shares will be 81,106,421. All shares subscribed in the rights
issue have been fully paid. 

Each share subscribed in the rights issue entitles to full dividend and other
shareholders' rights in Suomen Terveystalo Oyj as of the date the share has
been entered in the Trade Registry.
