Shares subscribed with the Outokumpu Oyj 2003B stock options and the increase in share capital

Between October 30, 2009 and December 17, 2009 a total of 6 276 shares have been
subscribed for with the 2003B stock options (FI0009633671). As a result of the
share subscriptions the share capital of Outokumpu Oyj has increased by EUR
10 669.20.

The increase in share capital has been entered into the Finnish trade register
on December 31, 2009 and the subscribed shares will be listed on the NASDAQ OMX
Helsinki Ltd and trading will commence along with the old shares as of January
5, 2010.

The next filing of increase in share capital into the trade register will take
