NEOMARKKA´S OPERATING RESULT TURNED INTO RED FIGURES

The demand of the second quarter was weaker than estimated on all market areas.

The tightened competition lowered the cable market prices. The increase of the
raw material prices could not totally be transferred into the sales prices.
Furthermore the lower capacity usage of the factories deteriorated the result. 

The operating result of Neomarkka was negative in the second quarter. This
turned the operating result of the whole review period into red figures. 

The interim report of Neomarkka regarding January-June will be published on 6
August 2009.
