AB ,,Utenos trikotažas” sales for the III quarter of 2011

AB „Utenos trikotažas" sales for the III quarter of 2011 reached LTL 11.7
million (EUR 3.4 million), 23.8 % less than during the same period in 2010. The
company sales for the III quarter of 2011 reached LTL 40.8 million (EUR 11.8
million), 10.3 % less than during the same period in 2010. 

Consolidated Group sales for the III quarter of 2011 reached LTL 14.1 million
(EUR 4.1 million), 19.7 % less than during the same period in 2010.
Consolidated group sales for the III quarter of 2011 reached LTL 48.1 million
(EUR 13.9 million), 9 % less than during the same period in 2010. 

“The sharp decrease in sales of basic products to retail clients focused on
middle - lower market segments was the main reason behind the lower third
quarter sales. We believe this was mainly influenced by the decrease in
consumer consumption as the fears of economy slowdown in Europe recurred.
Nonetheless the sales to clients, demanding ecological, high quality, value
added products, remained strong and accounted about 90% of total exports. This
partially offsets declining sales of basic, low value added products. The
increase of high value added products sales is our continued priority.  In
Lithuanian market, which contributes to approximately one tenth of our
revenues, we concentrate our marketing efforts to our branded Rokas, Gunda or
Eko product lines.” - says the General Manager of the company Utenos trikotažas
