PONSSE PLC IS PREPAIRED TO CONTINUE OPERATIVE ADJUSTMENTS

Ponsse Plc is prepared to continue the adjustment of its operations to match
the prevailing market situation and has started negotiations with personnel
concerning temporary lay-offs during the autumn 2009. All functions and
employee groups, a total of approximately 500 employees, are affected by the
negotiations.
