HKScan concludes statutory employee negotiations in Finland

On 30 September 2014, HKScan Corporation and HKScan Finland Oy concluded
statutory negotiations among white-collar office and managerial personnel based
in Finland. The negotiations involved close to 400 employees. 

To improve profitability, HKScan is working to boost its operational efficiency
and harmonize and consolidate its organizational structure. Through forthcoming
restructuring, HKScan plans to reduce costs, increase efficiency and anchor a
more business-driven way of working in the organization. 

The changes will affect a total of 68 employees. Certain positions will be
terminated; others will involve changes in roles, responsibilities or terms of
employment. The headcount reduction will amount to 51.5 full-time equivalents
(FTEs). The Group plans to achieve part of these reductions through retirement
and part-time employment arrangements. 

Most of the above changes will be completed by the end of 2014, targeting an
annual cost saving in the order of EUR 4 million. HKScan currently has
approximately 2 800 employees based in Finland.
