PÖYRY DIVESTS ITS SHAREHOLDING IN POLARTEST OY, FINLAND

On 26 November 2008 Pöyry has signed an agreement by which it sells
its 22.79 per cent share ownership in Polartest Oy, Finland to the
German company Dekra AG.

Closing of the transaction was subject to certain conditions, such as
approval by the German competition authorities. The conditions have
now been fulfilled and the transaction has been closed on 31 December
2008.

The transaction has a positive effect on the Energy business group's
result for the last quarter of 2008.

Pöyry is a global consulting and engineering firm focusing on the
energy, forest industry and infrastructure & environment sectors.
Pöyry's net sales in 2007 amounted to about EUR 720 million and it
employs 8000 experts.
