ANNOUNCEMENT PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 2, SECTION 10 OF THE SECURITIES MARKET ACT

Ruukki Group Plc, Stock Exchange Release, 7 November 2008 at 5:55 p.m.          

Ruukki Group Plc has today received an announcement pursuant to Securities      
Market Act chapter 2, section 9 regarding a change in shareholding.             

Atkey Limited (register number 1456426, British Virgin Islands) and Aida Djakov 
announce about the following changes in shareholdings related to Ruukki Group
Plc shares.

Atkey Limited and Aida Djakov announce that their combined current existing     
ownership and potential future ownership in total has, based on share           
transactions carried out on 6 October 2008, exceeded 10 % of the share capital  
and voting rights of Ruukki Group Plc. Atkey Limited's and Aida Djakov's        
holdings on 6 Oct 2008 were the following:

Of the forward contract agreements 35,949 contracts (3,594,900 shares) will     
expire in December 2008 and 203,003 contracts (20,300,300 shares) in January    
2009.                                                                           

Aida Djakov announces that her current existing ownership has, based on share   
transactions carried out on 31 October 2008, exceeded 5 % of the share capital  
and voting rights of Ruukki Group Plc. At the same time Aida Djakov's and Atkey 
Limited's combined current existing ownership has exceeded 5 % of the share     
capital and voting rights of Ruukki Group Plc. Atkey Limited's and Aida Djakov's

Of the forward contract agreements 35,949 contracts (3,594,900 shares) will     
expire in December 2008 and 203,003 contracts (20,300,300 shares) in January    
2009.                                                                           

Atkey Limited announces that it has on 6 November 2008 sold all its forward     
contracts and respectively purchased the same amount of shares. As a result,    
Atkey Limited's current existing ownership has exceeded 5 % of the share capital
and voting rights of Ruukki Group Plc. At the same time Atkey Limited's and Aida
Djakov's combined current existing ownership has exceeded 15 % of the share     
capital and voting rights of Ruukki Group Plc. Atkey Limited and Aida Djakov now
own Ruukki Group Plc shares as follows:
