Standard & Poor's revised Metso's rating outlook to negative

Metso Corporation's company release on February 16, 2009 at 9.30 a.m.

Standard & Poor's has affirmed Metso's BBB long-term credit rating
and changed the outlook from stable to negative. At the same time the
short-term corporate credit rating was lowered to A-3 from A-2.
