Coatings business at the core of Kemira's Capital Markets Day

Kemira Oyj is today arranging a Capital Markets Day in Vantaa,
Finland at Kemira Coatings', i.e. Tikkurila's, premises. The theme of
the event is the paints and coatings business. Tikkurila's listing on
the Helsinki Stock Exchange is expected to occur during the first
half of 2009.

The CMD's program will include presentations on Tikkurila's strategy,
growth markets in Eastern Europe and brands. Additionally, the agenda
will feature Kemira's new focused strategy as well as a new segment
division based on organizing Kemira into three customer-focused
segments with P/L responsibilities: Paper, Water and Oil and Mining.
The common denominator for all of these segments is water.
