STOCKMANN GROUP SALES IN SEPTEMBER 2009

In September, the Stockmann Group's sales exclusive of Hobby Hall's
discontinued operations abroad amounted to EUR 159.6 million, down by 11.8
per cent on September 2008. The Group's euro-denominated sales were
affected by the clearly weaker Swedish krona, Norwegian krone and Russian
rouble in comparison with sales in September 2008. The sales of autumn
collections were hampered by the exceptionally warm weather conditions in
all the main markets until the last week of September when the sales
picked up and have continued strong since then. Turnover of the Crazy Days
campaign of the Department Store Division in Finland, which took place in
October, increased by 3 per cent compared to autumn 2008.

The Department Store Division's sales declined by 14.7 per cent; 9.2 per
cent in Finland and 27.6 per cent abroad. The sales trend in the
department stores in the Baltic countries continued to be weak. The rouble-
denominated sales in the Russian department stores decreased by 7 per
cent. In Russia, there is one department store more than in September
2008.

Lindex's sales in local currencies increased by 2 per cent. Lindex's euro-
denominated sales decreased by 4.5 per cent; sales were up 3.7 per cent in
Finland and down 5.4 per cent abroad.

In Seppälä, sales were down 19.1 per cent. Sales declined by 14.5 per cent
in Finland and 27.2 per cent abroad. The sales trend in the Baltic
countries was clearly weaker than in other markets. In Russia, Seppälä's
rouble-denominated sales were on a par with the previous year.

Hobby Hall's sales in Finland were down by 17.5 per cent.
