PÖYRY AWARDED EUR 5 MILLION SERVICES CONTRACT FOR POWER PLANT PROJECT IN FINLAND

Pöyry's Energy business group has been commissioned by Fortum Power
and Heat Oy to provide services for a combined heat and power plant
project in Finland. Pöyry's services include complete engineering of
the power plant as well as project management, procurement and
construction management services. The value of the contract is over
EUR 5 million.

Fortum has decided to build a new power plant in connection with
their existing Suomenoja power plant in Espoo, Finland. Producing 234
MW of electricity and 214 MW of district heat, the new gas turbine
combined cycle power plant will use natural gas as fuel, reducing the
use of coal and oil in the existing power plant. The power plant will
be completed by the end of 2009.

Pöyry is a global consulting and engineering firm focusing on the
energy, forest industry and infrastructure and environment sectors.
Pöyry's net sales in 2006 amounted to about EUR 620 million and it
employs 6400 experts.
