Vilniaus Degtine AB - Interim information

Interim result of activities of AB Vilniaus degtinė for 12 months of 2012

Sales revenue of AB Vilniaus degtinė in January-December of 2012, as compared
to respective period in 2011, increased by 36.2 percent. In January-December of
2012 the sales revenue totaled 55 943 614 LTL (16 202 391 EUR), in
January-December of 2011 - 41 062 173 LTL (11 892 427 EUR). 

In January-December of 2012 the company sold alcoholic beverages by 17.9
percent more as compared to the respective period in 2011. In January-December
of 2012 the company increased sales to the European Union and the third
countries by 36.0 percent as compared to the respective period in 2011. 

The market of alcoholic beverages in Lithuania did not show strong fluctuations
in 2012. Nonetheless, the growth of Vilniaus degtinė on the domestic market
totaled 15.4 percent. Such sales leap was mostly affected by the growth of
sales of the revived Bajorų degtinė trademark. 

“We hope to maintain similar growth rate in 2013. The growth on the domestic
market will be more consistent; however, we see the biggest growth potential on
the export markets. In 2012 the company exported its production to 20 countries
worldwide. In Q4 of 2012 we started exporting our production to Vietnam and the
United States of America. The most popular trademarks on the export markets are
Shotka vodka, Litvak Vodka, and Renaissance brandy,” - stated Juozas Daunys,
General Manager of Vilniaus degtinė. 

In January-December of 2012 the profit totaled 495 thousand LTL (143 thousand
EUR), whereas during the respective period in 2011 the losses totaled 3 194
thousand LTL (925 thousand EUR). 

“Optimization of costs and processes as well as implementation of LEAN resource
control system enabled the company to close the year with a better result. The
result of Vilniaus degtinė was also affected by the project, implemented in
Obeliai Distillery - launch of biogas power plant, using the industrial waste
for heat and electricity generation”,- stated the company manager J. Daunys. 

In January-December of 2012 EBITDA totaled 4 287 thousand LTL (1 242 thousand
EUR) and increased by 27.5 percent, as compared to the respective period in
2011 - 3 362 thousand LTL (974 thousand EUR). EBITDA in Q4 of 2012 totaled 1
514 thousand LTL (438 thousand EUR) and increased by 69.5 percent, as compared
to EBITDA in Q4 of 2011 - 893 thousand LTL (259 thousand EUR).
