Aktia lowers its prime rate to 2.50 per cent as of 4 February 2009

Aktia Bank plc lowers its prime rate by 0.75 percentage points to
2.50 per cent due to the decrease in market rates and inflation
expectations. The new target rate will apply from 4 February 2009.
