KEMIRA: NOTIFICATION REFERRED TO IN CHAPTER 2, SECTION 10 OF THE FINNISH SECURITIES MARKET ACT ON A CHANGE IN OWNERSHIP

Kemira Oyj has today received the following notices:

The Republic of Finland has today sold 40.097.420 shares of Kemira
Oyj and, as a result, the Republic of Finland's holding of the share
capital and voting rights in Kemira Oyj has decreased to 16,52%.
Buyers are Oras Invest Oy, Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company and
Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company. Therefore we hereby
notify the Finnish Financial Supervision Authority and Kemira Oyj the
following:

A. Target company: Kemira Oyj (Business ID number 0109823-0)

B. Date of change in holdings: August 29, 2007

C. Oras Invest Oy's holding in Kemira Oyj has increased to 15.60%
    - Number of shares: 19.507.020
    - Proportion of share capital: 15.60%
    - Proportion of voting rights: 15.60%

D. The Republic of Finland's holding in Kemira Oyj has decreased to
16.52%
    - Number of shares: 20.656.500
    - Proportion of share capital: 16.52%
    - Proportion of voting rights: 16.52%

E. Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company's holding in Kemira Oyj has
increased to 9.6%
    - Number of shares: 12.144.862
    - Proportion of share capital: 9.71%
    - Proportion of voting rights: 9.71%

F. Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company's holding in Kemira Oyj
has increased to 5.3%
    - Number of shares: 6.657.796
    - Proportion of share capital: 5.32 %
    - Proportion of voting rights: 5.32 %

G. Kemira Oyj's share capital comprises 125.045.000 shares that carry
a total of 125.045.000 votes.
