Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa (HUS) has selected Innofactor in a
competitive tendering governed by a framework agreement, to transfer
application and infrastructure solutions into cloud and provide continuous
services and related professional services. HUS estimated in its invitation to
tender that the value of delivery would be approximately EUR 1.5 million during
the 2016 – 2017 contract period. However, the final value of the deal cannot be
stated for certain at this point.

The delivery includes transferring the existing On-Premises applications and
infrastructure solutions of HUS into Microsoft Azure cloud environment and
monitoring, management and support consultation services. In addition to this,
the delivery includes cloud architecture development, application and
infrastructure service design/planning for individual projects and
implementation of HUS‘s own solutions such as Virtual Hospitals. Projects and
services related to cloud transformation are planned to be delivered in phases
during 2016 – 2017.

”The deal is strategically important for Innofactor and gives an opportunity to
continue the well started cloud capturing project with HUS and deepens
co-operation in the successful HUS Terveyskylä (Health Village) project. The
deal strengthens significantly Innofactor’s position in delivering Microsoft
Azure cloud services in Finland and as a provider for IoT and Machine Learning
solutions in the healthcare and other industries.” says Sami Ensio, CEO,
Innofactor.

area of HUCH includes, in addition to the Hospital District of Uusimaa, the
South Karelia Social and Health Care District (Eksote) and the Kymenlaakso
