Announcement of the first quarter results on 13 March 13 2008

Reykjavik, Iceland, 5 March, 2008, Hf. Eimskipafelag Islands (OMX: HFEIM), will
announce its results for the first quarter 2008, ended 31 of January 2008, on
13 of March after closing of markets. 

A presentation for shareholders and market participants will be held on Friday,
14 of March, at the headquarters of Eimskip at Sundaklettur, Korngörðum 2. The
presentation will start at 08:30 and breakfast will be served. Stefan AgustMagnusson, CEO of Eimskip, will present the results and answer questions.
