Changes in Metsäliitto Group Management - Mika Joukio appointed CEO of Metsä Tissue

Mika Joukio (47), M.Sc. (Tech.), MBA, Head of M-real Corporation's Consumer
Packaging Business Area and a member of M-real's Management Team, has been
appointed the new CEO of Metsä Tissue Corporation. Joukio will report to Kari
Jordan, President and CEO of Metsäliitto Group and Chairman of the Metsä Tissue
Board of Directors. Joukio will assume his new position as CEO and as a member
of the Metsäliitto Group Executive Management Team in February 2012. 

Hannu Kottonen (54), M.Sc. (Econ.) CEO of Metsä Tissue since 2006 and a member
of the Metsäliitto Group Executive Management Team, has been appointed as CEO
of HKScan Corporation, one of the leading food companies in Northern Europe.
Kottonen will start in his new position by the end of February 2012.
