Change to the Board of Directors of the Icelandic Housing Financing Fund


The Minister of Social Affairs and Housing has appointed Þorsteinn Arnalds
vice-chairman to the Board of Directors of the Housing Financing Fund,
replacing Haukur F. Leósson. 

Þorsteinn graduated from University College London with an M.Sc. degree in
Statistics in 2000, a C.S. degree in mechanical- and industrial engineering
from the University of Iceland in 1996. In the period 1996-2001 he was in
charge of avalanche hazard zoning at the Icelandic Meteorological Office, he
was an IT consultant at Nýherji in 2001-2004. Þorsteinn developed real estate
assessment methods, analysed and published real estate data at Registers
Iceland in 2004-2012, he worked in risk management at Arion bank in 2012-2014
and currently he is an information security management expert at the Icelandic
Data Protection Agency.
