Leena Niemistö will leave operative management and focuses on board positions -
Aarne Aktan starts as EVP C&S segment at Pihlajalinna 29.4.2016

Pihlajalinna's Deputy CEO since 2013 and EVP of Private Clinics and Specialized
Care segment since 2014 Leena Niemistö has announced the company that she will
concentrate on her board positions and leave her operative management positions
in Pihlajalinna Plc. Niemistö will resign her positions as Deputy CEO, EVP C&S
segment and group management team.  She will continue as Senior Adviser
especially in M&A.

Niemistö is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pihlajalinna Plc
and Finnish National Opera, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Stockman
Plc and a member of the Board of Directors of Elisa Plc, Suomen Messut
Osuuskunta and Svenska Handelsbanken Finland among others. Niemistö is also the
Chairman of the Ars Fennica Foundation jury and an active investor and advisor
to many Finnish startup companies.

Aarne Aktan starts at Pihlajalinna on 29 April, 2016. He will take on the
position of EVP Private Clinics and Specialized Care business segment. Aktan
will start as the CEO of Pihlajalinna on 8 August when Mikko Wirén will become a
member of the Pihlajalinna Board of Directors.

quickly when working together with Mikko Wirén for three months in the operative
leadership."
