Nine-month profit of Litgrid Group – LTL 19.7 million

Vilnius, Lithuania, 2012-11-29 15:59 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Litgrid Group
reported an income of LTL 359.8 million for January-September 2012, an increase
of 15% compared with January-September 2011. The income from electricity
transmission contributed 45% of the group's total income.

The profit before tax of Litgrid Group reached LTL 19.7 million in nine-month
2012, compared with a loss of LTL 12.5 million suffered in January-September
2011. Nine-month of 2012 EBITDA Litgrid Group reached LTL 112.3 million, EBITDA
margin was 31%.

Performing the function of transmission system operator, Litgrid transmitted a
total of 6.77 billion kWh of electricity for domestic needs via high-voltage
electricity grids in January-September 2012, down by 1.1% year-on-year. This
was due to the own electricity generation and therefore diminished electricity
demand by the industrial companies, as well as due to the maintenance works at
Orlen Lietuva oil refinery.

In January-September 2012, the transmission system operator Litgrid invested a
total of LTL 100.3 million. The major part of the investment - 64% was
earmarked for the reconstruction and development of the national transmission
grid, while the remaining investment was allocated for the implementation of
strategic projects.

Litgrid is currently implementing strategic Lithuanian electricity energy
projects, including international electricity interconnections NordBalt
(Lithuania-Sweden) and LitPol Link (Lithuania-Poland), and is responsible for
the fully-fledged integration of the Lithuanian electricity energy system into
the European Continental Network and the common European electricity market.

Litgrid Group consists of the electricity transmission system operator Litgrid
AB, energy exchange Baltpool UAB and Tetas UAB, which provides specialized
services of technical maintenance.
