PRELIMINARY INFORMATION ON SCANFIL PLC'S TURNOVER AND OPERATING PROFIT IN THE   
FIRST QUARTER                                                                   

Resulting better than expected sales in March Scanfil plc's turnover in the     
first quarter is at the same level as in corresponding period last year. The    
operating profit is expected to be slightly lower than in corresponding period  
last year. The turnover of the first quarter of 2008 was EUR 50,0 million and   
the operating profit was EUR 4,7 million.                                       

The situation in the telecommunications technology and industrial electronics   
markets where Scanfil operates remains still so unstable that it is not possible
to make reliable predictions on their development in 2009.                      

Scanfil plc will publish the Interim Report of the first quarter on 23 April    
2009.
