CLOSURE OF STATUTORY NEGOTIATIONS AT SCANFIL PLC'S SUBSIDIARY SCANFIL EMS OY Scanfil plc's subsidiary Scanfil EMS Oy's statutory negotiations concerning the Sievi plant due to production and financial reasons and business restructuring ended today, on 22 September 2009. The reason for negotiations was weakening in demand at Sievi plant, which caused a need to reorganize and restructure production operations. As a result of the negotiations 5 salaried employees and 25 workers will be made redundant and 40 workers will be laid-off for an indefinite period. Lay-offs will be carried out by the middle of October and personnel reductions will be executed in stages by the end of March 2010.
