SCAN AB'S STREAMLINING PROGRAMME PROCEEDS IN SWEDEN

Scan AB, the company responsible for the HKScan Group's Swedish operations, has
started statutory employer-employee negotiations aimed at cutting 95 jobs. The
potential cuts will concern white-collar employees at all Scan locations in
Sweden. 

On 4 March 2009, HKScan announced that it had started a three-year streamlining
programme in Sweden to improve the profitability of the business. The programme
has proceeded as planned. 

HKScan will report on 15 September 2009 on the progress of the Swedish business
development programme in greater detail.
