ALL THE NECESSARY APPROVALS RECEIVED FOR MCFE'S PUBLIC TENDER OFFER FOR ROCLA

ALL THE NECESSARY APPROVALS RECEIVED FOR MITSUBISHI CATERPILLAR FORKLIFT EUROPE 
B.V.'S PUBLIC TENDER OFFER FOR ROCLA                                            

Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift Europe B.V. ("MCFE"), a subsidiary of Mitsubishi
Heavy Industries, Ltd., announced on 23 October 2008 a public tender offer to
purchase all of the issued and outstanding shares and option rights in Rocla
Oyj ("Rocla") that are not owned by Rocla and not already owned by MCFE or its
group companies (the "Tender Offer"). The offer period under the Tender Offer 
commenced on 10 November 2008.                                                  

The completion of the Tender Offer is subject to the satisfaction or, where     
permitted, waiver of the conditions to completion set out in the tender offer   
document, including approval from the relevant competition authorities.         

Rocla has been informed that the Russian Competition Authority has approved the 
acquisition of Rocla pursuant to the Tender Offer by its decision dated 8       
December 2008. As announced earlier, the Finnish Competition Authority and the  
German Competition Authority have already approved the acquisition. As Rocla is 
not aware of any other regulatory approvals that are necessary with respect to  
the Tender Offer, the condition to completion concerning the receipt of         
necessary approvals has thus been satisfied.                                    

The completion of the Tender Offer is still subject to the other conditions to  
completion set out in the tender offer document save for the condition          
concerning the abolishment of the redemption clause from the Articles of        
Association of Rocla, upon which the Extraordinary General Meeting of Rocla     
decided on 1 December 2008 conditional upon MCFE announcing that it will        
complete the Tender Offer.                                                      

The offer period under the Tender Offer expires on 12 December 2008.
