Change in Barclays Plc's Reported Holding in Outokumpu Oyj

Outokumpu Oyj has been informed on the change in the reported holding
of Barclays Plc and Barclays Global Investor UK Holdings Limited.

By applying the disaggregation exemption and permission granted by
the Finnish Financial Supervision Authority to Barclays Plc on
December 11, 2007, to report its holdings and the holdings of its EEA
subsidiary fund management companies separately, Barclays Plc's
holding in Outokumpu Oyj has fallen below 5 % of the total number of
outstanding shares, and, its subsidiary's Barclays Global Investor UK
Holdings Limited's holding in Outokumpu Oyj, has fallen below 5% of
the total number of outstanding shares.

With reference to Section 2, paragraph 10 of the Finnish Market
Securities Act and the relevant decision of the Finnish Ministry of
Finance, Outokumpu Oyj reports that the holding of Barclays Plc and
the holding of Barclays Global Investor UK Holdings Limited in
Outokumpu Oyj, by applying the relevant aggregation rules, are as
follows:
