SOCIETE GENERALE TO ISSUE SIX NEW TURBOS. THE ISSUE INCLUDES TURBOS ON THE DAX INDEX, THE EUR/USD EXCHANGE RATE, AND THE FORTUM PLC, SAMPO PLC AND UPM-KYMMENE PLC SHARES

SOCIETE GENERALE TO ISSUE SIX NEW TURBOS. THE ISSUE INCLUDES TURBOS ON THE DAX
INDEX, THE EUR/USD EXCHANGE RATE, THE FORTUM PLC SHARE, THE SAMPO PLC SHARE AND
THE UPM-KYMMENE PLC SHARE. 

Societe Generale, one of the leading issuers of covered warrants worldwide,
issues a total of six new European Turbo warrants on the Helsinki Stock
Exchange (HEX). The Turbos will be subject to public trading on the HEX
Exchange List as of 28 August 2008. 

The underlying assets of the Turbos will be the DAX Index, EUR/USD exchange
rate, the Fortum Plc share, the Sampo Plc share and the UPM-Kymmene Plc share.
The issue includes two Long Turbos and four Short Turbos. 

The Turbos will be issued under the Societe Generale warrant program. The
Listing Particulars of the warrant program approved by the Finnish Financial
Supervision Authority on 22 July 2008 and consisting of the Base Prospectus,
the Supplement approved by the Finnish Financial Supervision Authority on 27
August 2008 and the Final Terms relating to the Turbos to be issued are
available as of 27 August 2008 at the Societe Generale website at

and at the office of the Paying agent at Nordea Bank Finland Plc at Aleksis
