Anu Nissinen Appointed President of SWelcom

SanomaWSOY's Board of Directors has today appointed Anu Nissinen, M.
Sc. (Econ.) 44, as President of SWelcom and a member of SanomaWSOY's
Executive Management Group. Currently, Nissinen acts as President of
cable TV operator Welho, a business of SWelcom. Nissinen will begin
in her new position on 25 February 2008.

Anu Nissinen has worked in SWelcom since 2001. Since July 2004, she
has been President of Welho and a member of SWelcom's Management
Group. Before that she worked as Marketing Director of Helsinki
Television Ltd.

Prior to her career in SWelcom, Nissinen worked as Marketing and
Product Category Manager in Sinebrychoff, among others. Nissinen is a
Vice Chairman of Cable TV Committee in Finnish Federation for
Communications and Teleinformatics, FiCom, and a member of Cable
Europe CEO Forum.

Tapio Kallioja, 60, the current President of SWelcom, will continue
as an advisor of the Board until the end of March 2008. Kallioja will
retire according to his contract of employment on 31 March 2008.
