TietoEnator starts a share repurchase programme

TietoEnator's Board of Directors decided to start a new share
repurchase programme based on the authorization given by the AGM on
22 March 2007. The maximum amount to be used under this new programme
is EUR 80 million to purchase a maximum of 3.50 million shares.

Under the authorization the shares will be purchased to develop the
company's long-term capital structure and thus the Board of Directors
plans to cancel the repurchased shares. TietoEnator's operating cash
flow is expected to be strong and the company considers that its
remaining liquid assets and credit arrangements provide sufficient
means to finance all investment needs in the near future.

The shares will be purchased through public trading on the Helsinki
Stock Exchange at the market price at the time of trading. The daily
purchase amounts will not exceed 25% of the average daily trading
volume in June. The repurchases will start on 1 August 2007 at the
earliest, end on 30 December 2007 at the latest, and no shares will
be purchased in October until TietoEnator's third-quarter interim
report is published.
