RAISIO TO CLOSE TWO MILLS IN NOKIA

RAISIO TO CLOSE TWO MILLS IN NOKIA                                              

Raisio's codetermination talks which were initiated in late June and focused on 
adjusting the production of the wheat, rye and oat mills in Nokia to the current
market situation, have been concluded. As a result of the talks, the wheat and  
rye mills will be closed down. The oat mill will continue to operate in Nokia.  

The close-down of the two mills will cut 27 jobs. Raisio will employ 45 people  
in the oat mill and related operations. The adjustment of production at the     
Nokia mills is expected to lead to total annual savings of some EUR 2.0 million.
