ORGANISATIONAL CHANGES AT OKMETIC

ORGANISATIONAL CHANGES AT OKMETIC

Okmetic Oyj's organisation will be revised as of 1 January 2008. The changes
will support the Company's strategic objective of continuing to grow strongly
in the Sensor wafer area. Okmetic is the world's market leader in
silicon-based sensor wafers. 

Okmetic's Board of Directors has appointed Mr Mikko Montonen, M.Sc.
(Technology), who currently acts as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing,
as the Deputy to the President and CEO as of 1 January 2008 to cover the
responsibilities of the President and CEO in the event that the President
himself is unable to attend to his duties. 

Mr Mikko Montonen has also been appointed Okmetic's Executive Vice President,
Sales as of the same date. He will also manage the Technology area. 

Ms Anna-Riikka Vuorikari-Antikainen, M.Sc. (Technology), who currently
acts as Senior Vice President, Sensor Business Development, has been appointed
Senior Vice President, Product Development, as of 1 January 2008. She will also
manage Okmetic's marketing and Sensor wafer area. 

Mr Jaakko Montonen, M.Sc. (Technology), who currently acts as Senior Vice
President, Product Development, has been appointed Senior Vice President,
Production, as of 1 January 2008. He will also manage Okmetic's process
development and Semiconductor wafer area. 

The responsibilities of Mr Markku Tilli, M.Sc. (Technology), who currently
acts as Senior Vice President, Research, will remain unchanged. 

Mr Timo Koljonen, Lic.Sc. (Tech.) who currently acts as Senior Vice President,
Production, will be resigning his position at his own request to work for a new
employer.
