Konecranes Plc (ID 0942718-2) discloses according to the Chapter 2, Section 9
of the Securities Market Act that its direct holding of Konecranes Plc has
exceeded 5 percent as a result of the repurchase of the company's own shares. 

Konecranes Plc was directly in the possession of 3,196,813 own shares on August
22, 2011, which is 5.05 percent of Konecranes Plc's shares and votes. In
addition, Konecranes Plc was in the possession of 517,696 own shares indirectly
through KCR Management Oy on August 22, 2011, which is 0.82 percent of
Konecranes Plc's shares and votes. 

Konecranes Plc has a total of 63,241,427 shares. The company has only one class
of shares and each share entitles to one vote.
