KONE Board of Directors proposes an EUR 1.50 extra dividend per class B-share and EUR 1.495 per class A-share

KONE Corporation, stock exchange release, September 24, 2012 at 9.30 a.m. EET

The Board of Directors of KONE Corporation has decided to propose to an
extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to be held on October 24, 2012
that an extra dividend of EUR 1.50 per class B-share and EUR 1.495 per class A-
share be distributed to KONE shareholders. The proposed extra dividend would
amount to EUR 384.4 million in total, based on the current ownership of treasury
shares. The dividend would be payable on November 5, 2012 to shareholders
registered on the company's shareholders' register held by Euroclear Finland
Ltd. on the dividend record date of October 29, 2012.

The invitation to the extraordinary general meeting will be published by means
of a separate stock exchange release and on KONE's website at a later stage.
