Wärtsilä Corporation Company Announcement 3.7.2012 at 10.00 am EET

BlackRock, Inc. has informed Wärtsilä Corporation that it has purchased Wärtsilä
shares on 29 June 2012 and now owns more than one twentieth (1/20) of the
company's votes. Following the transaction BlackRock Inc. owns 9,945,554 shares
or 5.04% of Wärtsilä's share capital and total votes.
