On the decrease of electricity consumption

Rytų skirstomieji tinklai AB notifies that over January 2009 electricity
consumption has amounted to 399.7 million kWh, i.e. 5.4 per cent less than over
January 2008. 

The highest drop in the consumption of electricity has been recorded in the
segment of industry - over the first month of this year, the industry has used
27 per cent less of electricity compared to the same period of the last year.
The use of electricity by heating companies has decreased 19 per cent.
