Century Aluminum Company (Century) and NBI hf. (Landsbankinn) agree on amending
their market making agreement 

Century announces that it has agreed with Landsbankinn to amend the market
making agreement dated 14th June 2007.  Under the new amendment, Landsbankinn,
through its own account, will submit daily bid and offer quotes on First North
Iceland for a minimum of 1000 depository receipts at a price determined by
Landsbankinn.  The maximum bid/offer spread shall not exceed 1.5% and the
difference from the last price paid shall not exceed 3%.  As market maker,
Landsbankinn is obliged to provide daily liquidity for up to ISK 50 million at
market value. 

The new amendment is effective as of 13 November 2008.
