Notification according to Chapter 2, Section 10 of the Finnish
Securities Market Act

Biotie Therapies Corp. ("Company") has gained knowledge of the
notifications regarding the following changes in holdings in
accordance with Chapter 2, Section 9 of the Finnish Securities
Markets Act.

Pequot Healthcare Fund, L.P., Pequot Healthcare Offshore Fund, Inc.,
Premium Series PCC Limited - Cell 32, Pequot Diversified Master Fund,
Ltd., Pequot Healthcare Institutional Fund, L.P. and Pequot
Healthcare Emerging Markets Master Fund, Ltd. have notified that as a
result of share transactions carried out on 30 January, 2009, the
aggregate holdings of these shareholders have decreased from above 15
% to 13.66 %.

Moreover, as a result of these share transactions carried out on 30
January 2009, the holdings of Pequot Healthcare Fund, L.P. have
decreased from above 5 % to 4.69 %.

The changes in holdings in accordance with Chapter 2, Section 9 of
the Finnish Securities Markets Act of which the Company has gained
knowledge are described below.
