Yrjö Julin proposed for Componenta Board of Directors

Shareholders representing more than 10 percent of all the votes in the company
have announced that they will propose to the Annual General Meeting on 23
February 2009 that Yrjö Julin, (51), Tech.Lis. be elected as a new member to
the Board of Directors. 

In 2007 - 2008 Yrjö Julin was Group President and CEO of Yards ASA, in Norway.
In 2004 - 2008 he was President and CEO at Aker Yards, Business Area Cruise and
Ferries, in Finland and in 2002 - 2004 President and CEO of Aker Finnyards. In
1986 - 2002 he worked for Componenta Group in different positions, his final
post being Vice President. 

At the moment Yrjö Julin does not hold any positions of trust. 

With the proposal of a new member for the Board of Directors, it will also be
proposed to increase the number of members of the Board of Directors by one, to
6. 

The current members of the Componenta Board of Directors are Heikki Bergholm,
Heikki Lehtonen, Juhani Mäkinen, Marjo Raitavuo ja Matti Tikkakoski.
