Stockmann’s CEO to change


STOCKMANN plc, Stock Exchange Release 22.3.2019 at 8:30 EET

CEO Lauri Veijalainen has decided to resign from Stockmann in order to assume a
new position outside the company. Chairman of the Board of the Directors Lauri
Ratia will act as Executive Chairman for the time being. The Stockmann Group’s
management team member Tove Westermarck has been appointed Stockmann Retail’s
Chief Operating Officer as of 22 March 2019.

The Board of Directors will immediately initiate a process to search for a new
CEO. Lauri Veijalainen will leave Stockmann on 31 March 2019, but will be at the
company’s disposal during his notice period.

”I would like to thank Lauri for his important contribution in carrying out
Stockmann’s challenging change process,” says Lauri Ratia, Chairman of Board of
Directors at Stockmann.

”The transformation is a long process and we have already turned the Stockmann
Group’s operating result positive. The journey has had both successes and
challenges. I would like to thank all my colleagues and customers and wish
Stockmann success in the future,” says Lauri Veijalainen.

Veijalainen has been Stockmann’s CEO since 2016. Prior to this, he worked e.g.
as CFO and as Development Director for the Group’s international operations.
Veijalainen started at Stockmann in 2010.
