UPM-Kymmene - Changes board/management/auditors

Hans Sohlström appointed President and CEO of Rettig Group

UPM-Kymmene Corporation        Stock Exchange Release            2 May 2012

Hans Sohlström, Executive Vice President for Corporate Relations and
Development and member of UPM's Group Executive Team, will leave UPM in order
to assume the position of President and CEO in a Finnish family- owned company
Rettig Group, as of 1 August 2012. 

”Hans's contribution in building our corporate stakeholder relations has been
extremely successful. He has had a result oriented and business minded approach
in the issues at hand. We all at UPM wish him all the best in his future
responsibilities,” says Jussi Pesonen, UPM's President and CEO. 

Hans Sohlström will continue business as usual in UPM until the end of July
2012.
